NEW SONGS NOW IN YOUR LIVING ROOM

Hi friends.  I hope this finds you healthy and safe and able to communicate with loved ones. I feel very lucky to be spending time with my hilarious, big hearted, fantastic cook of a husband.  We've been making some really dumb really fun art together and I'm grateful for this time to practice patience in the pursuit of creation.  We also watch a lot of Community.

Some news, some offerings to take or leave:

Lucille Lortel Awards
Last I saw you I was excited to announce that my musical IN THE GREEN received 6 Lortel nominations.  And drum roll please...I was awarded Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical!  I was truly stunned and immensely grateful to have my work recognized in this way.  You can watch my acceptance speech here AND listen to an interview I gave along with other recipients on the Live at the Lortel podcast here. And I swear the cast album is coming soon!

#TheLizSwadosProject
This album of music by the late great ferocious genius Liz Swados features some of the most exciting writers and performers working today, many of whom I call friends and many of whom I met through Liz. Her music is timeless and continues to inspire - I'm honored to be on the album singing one of the first pieces of her music I learned.

Against Women & Music!
Monday, June 22 @3pmEST

The project I've been working on with Kate Douglas inspired by 19th century medical texts purporting the insidious effects music has on women's bodies. So fun. We'll be doing a virtual presentation and are super excited to share what we've been working during our time with The Civilians R&D Group and our amazing director Whitney Mosery.
